John Leavitt, MSW left a message on April 18, 2018:
Ilaria was my first & best teacher & mentor. She taught me much of the skills, theory, and practice I utilize every day. There was a artsy sign she had on the beam right above her office door: "To not decide, IS to decide" I was flummoxed (as usual) re what group I was going to run, and what came to mind, (another supervision?): "To NOT decide IS to decide" R.I.P. You were my best ever & you are forever part of me.

Worked with Ilaria on the GTU, at MetroWest Medical Center. She was amazing dealing with some very difficult cases. A kind and knowledgeable woman, to say the least. So sad to learn of her passing. My thoughts are with her family at this time.

My sincere condolences to Ilaria's family. I was so sorry to learn of Ilaria's death. Having worked with Ilaria for many years at MetroWest Medical Center - Leonard Morse Hospital, I will forever remember Ilaria's ability to dissect a convoluted issue into one of simplicity. She was a wonderful listener, thoughtful advocate and fabulous supervisor. Her realistic, supportive and humorous approach could always be counted on. I feel sad and hope she is at peace.
